Using the train and sustainable mobility
The train is a fast, comfortable, high capacity collective form of transport, and is sustainable economically, socially and environmentally. It is no surprise then that almost half of journeys to the campus are by train (FGC and Renfe).
According to the mobility habits survey of the university community, 46.6% come to the UAB by train, and the reasons they give for doing so are proximity to their home, punctuality, regularity and the fact that they do not own a private vehicle.
The Bellaterra campus of the UAB is covered by two rail services. The Vallès Metro service of the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de which comprises lines S2 and S55, and the R7 and R8 Renfe lines.
