The UAB is sad to announce the death of Professor Elisabet García
Retired Professor Elisabet Garcia from the Department of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising passed away on 2 May 2024. The UAB wishes to extend its most sincere condolences to all those who loved and appreciated and express its grief in having lost a member of its community.
Elisabet García lectured at the Faculty of Communication Studies, where she was also vice-dean of Academic Regulations. Among her many positions, she was also head of the lines of research in communication and cooperation in the Mediterranean, and intercultural communication within the PhD programme in Audiovisual Communication. She was also the author of the book TV-3. Del naixement a la consolidació, the result of her PhD thesis, which was directed by Professor Emili Prado.
The wake will take place in room 4 of the funeral home Tanatori de Sant Gervasi (Carrer Carles Riba 10-12, Barcelona), from 3 May at 4 p.m. to 4 May at 1:30 pm. The funeral ceremony will also take place there on 4 May at 1:30 p.m.
