Roundtable on Career Guidance and Vocational Education and Training - UAB Pedagogy and Psychopedagogy Alumni Network
Description:
We look forward to welcoming you on 30 September to the “Roundtable on Career Guidance and Vocational Education and Training”, organised by the UAB Pedagogy and Psychopedagogy Alumni Network. The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the Degree Hall of the Faculty of Educational Sciences on the UAB campus.
The roundtable aims to analyse the impact of the new Vocational Education and Training Act on lifelong professional development and to reflect on the challenges and opportunities it presents for career guidance and vocational counselling processes.
This legislation introduces a more flexible, inclusive and labour-market-oriented model, strengthening the role of guidance as a key element in supporting citizens throughout their educational and professional pathways.
Programme
5:45 - 6:00 p.m. | Registration and welcome.
6:00 - 6:15 p.m. | Welcome address by Aleix Barrera Corominas, coordinator of the UAB Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy.
6:15 - 7:45 p.m. | Panel discussion on career guidance and vocational education and training, featuring:
- Ángel Tarriño Ruiz, Coordinator of the Vocational Education and Training Observatory at the BCN Vocational Education and Training Foundation.
- Miquel Carrión Molina, Deputy Director for Youth Employment and Professional Qualifications at the Public Employment Service of Catalonia.
- Moderator: Màrius Martínez Muñoz, lecturer in Guidance and Counselling in the Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy, Department of Applied Pedagogy.
7:45 - 8:30 p.m. | Closing session and networking.

- If you are a UAB alumnus/alumna, student, administrative staff member (PAS) or academic staff member (PDI), please register using the registration form. Participation is free of charge.
- If you have no affiliation with UAB, please complete the same registration form and make a €20 bank transfer to ES91 2100 3675 72 2200203408 in order to attend the event. After payment, send proof of transfer to alumni@uab.cat.
