Official Master's Degree in Soil and Water Management
This master is biennial and will open pre-registration for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Do you want to form part of the solution to soil degradation and water scarcity? The Interuniversity Master's Degree in Soil and Water Management prepares you to sustainably manage these critical resources for life on the planet, particularly in the Mediterranean.
This partnered or interuniversity programme is unique, the result of cooperation between four universities (the UdL, the UAB, the UB and the UPNA). It offers students comprehensive and practical training closely linked to professional reality from day one. It ranges from soil inventory and characterisation, to advanced irrigation management, to the recovery of degraded or contaminated soil, and water treatment.
The master's degree opens the doors to the professional sector due to close collaboration with both companies in the sector and research centres. You will be able to complete your Final Master's Degree Project (20 ECTS), with a choice between the professional or research track, depending on your position. Previous MAGSA students have continued their professional careers in public administration, environmental consultancies, technology and research centres, as well as in international organisations, providing innovative solutions for sustainable land management.
