Official Master's Degree in Mineral Resources and Geological Hazards
The master's degree aims mainly to complete the training of professionals in the conceptual, methodological and technical aspects research teams are developing in the field of cahracterisation and modelling of mineral resources, as well as in the identification, analysis, assessment and management of geological risks.
The specialisation in Geology and Modelling of Mineral Deposits trains up professionals with great expertise in the various magmatic, hydrothermal, metamorphic and sedimentary processes that create the different types of mineral deposits, and who are able to apply this knowledge to prospecting. It also gives training in the latest quantitative methods for characterising and evaluating mineral resources.
The specialisation in Geological Risks trains students in the different techniques of cartography, analysis, treatment, modelling and risk assessment of potentially destructive geological phenomena and processes. It also gives training in the methods and techniques currently used in the different strategies for mitigating geological risks.
