Competencias básicas

  • Que los estudiantes hayan demostrado poseer y comprender conocimientos en un área de estudio que parte de la base de la educación secundaria general, y se suele encontrar a un nivel que, si bien se apoya en libros de texto avanzados, incluye también algunos aspectos que implican conocimientos procedentes de la vanguardia de su campo de estudio.
  • Que los estudiantes sepan aplicar sus conocimientos a su trabajo o vocación de una forma profesional y posean las competencias que suelen demostrarse por medio de la elaboración y defensa de argumentos y la resolución de problemas dentro de su área de estudio.
  • Que los estudiantes tengan la capacidad de reunir e interpretar datos relevantes (normalmente dentro de su área de estudio) para emitir juicios que incluyan una reflexión sobre temas relevantes de índole social, científica o ética.
  • Que los estudiantes puedan transmitir información, ideas, problemas y soluciones a un público tanto especializado como no especializado.
  • Que los estudiantes hayan desarrollado aquellas habilidades de aprendizaje necesarias para emprender estudios posteriores con un alto grado de autonomía.

  • Quantifying and assessing the cost and profitability of the investment and financing operations, including the tax incidence in the accounting and financial operations.
  • Incorporating knowledge and abilities in order to produce an academic or professional work in the fields of accounting and finances of a company, organisation, or family unit, and promoting in this way the work in more real environments.
  • Planning and conducting the accounting organization of a company or group of companies.
  • Analysing and determining the accounting cost structure, as well as certifying settlements, balances, financial statements, account performance and other accounting documentation.
  • Preparing and interpreting financial statements and reports for accounting, fiscal, financial and organizational purposes.
  • Issuing technical-accounting reports related to the situation of a company.
  • Analysing, diagnosing, supporting and taking decisions in terms of organisational structure and business management.
  • Applying the essential principles of (banking an insurance) commercial law, as well as possessing notions of constitutional, civil, tax and labour law.
  • Interpreting and using mathematical tools and statistics in order to identify and solve problems of the economical and business scope with deterministic or/and random components.
  • Identifying the specific characteristics of business and family property management in order to solve complex problems and situations, especially in relation to financial advise.
  • Demonstrating a comprehension of the international standards about accounting valuation, preparation of the financial information and tax regulation affecting the financial and accounting valuation in order to determine the tax incidence in the accounting and financial operations.
  • Demonstrating a comprehension of the functioning of the financial system and the plan of action of various intermediaries, specially banks, saving banks and insurance companies, in order to negotiate effectively.
  • Actively and passively managing the several identified financial risks affecting companies as well as the (longevity and others) financial and biometric risks affecting people and their families.
  • Demonstrating a comprehension of the principles, structure, organisation and inner workings of companies and organisations.
  • Demonstrating a comprehension of the different legal, control and solvency standards issued by regulatory bodies affecting the several analysed accounting or financial processes.
  • Behaving in an ethical and professional way while carrying out the accounting or financial advisory services entrusted.
  • Applying the methodology of reasoning of financial economy, distinguishing it from its equivalent in the real economy.
  • Selecting and interpreting the financial information of markets and companies.
  • Demonstrating a comprehension of the characteristics and objectives of financial regulation from the perspective of market efficiency.
  • Analysing, formulating and introducing the general strategy of an organization, as well as the action policies of the various functional areas.
  • Analysing in historical terms the today's economic problems in order to better assess the current changes.

  • Demonstrating a wide knowledge of the organisation and management of the operations in a company, for both production and services companies, emphasising the management models applied to the company and the implementation of quantitative support techniques.
  • Demonstrating a comprehension of the functioning of the markets and institutions that shape the financial system.
  • Applying the tax regulations in the general framework of economy and legal system, and knowing, assimilating and applying the current tax regulations of the basic tax system in the business field.
  • Demonstrating a comprehension of the relationship and impact of the Information Systems in the business management processes and being active in their implementation.
  • Applying and interpreting labour legal standards, arguing every subject and integrating the importance of labour law in business management and dynamics.
  • Demonstrating a comprehension of the fundamental aspects of the social environment and its main transformations in what we know as information society, and the main tendencies related to the social relations of a company.
  • Applying the appropriate econometric methodology in order to find an answer to the problems of the empirical study of certain economic data.
  • Identifying the corporate models both from the perspective of property and internal organisation, and understanding the economic nature of human relationships in a business environment.
