Apply for admission to the programme

The admission process serves to ensure that all students meet the programme's requirements and thus guarantee an optimal work environment during the course. To apply for admission, you must apply online. Remember that you will need to upload the required documents.

In the event of seats remaining once the final date of application is expired, the direction may prolongue it.

Very important: before registering in the application, you must carefully read the information you will find on this page to have the required documentation ready and confirm that you meet the access requirements, and that the registration process is open.

The application interface will ask you to specify the study type (master's degree, diploma or specialisation coruse) and the codes of study and edition of the programme to which you want to enroll. Data from this program are: Study: 5346 and Edition: 1

To fulfill the application you need a NIU (UAB's University Identification Number). Choose the appropriate option for your case:

Required documentation

- DNI, NIE, TIE (double-sided scanning) or valid passport

In order to assess the suitability of the candidate for the programme, the following documentation will be required:

- Updated curriculum vitae, indicating academic background and relevant professional experience in the field of mental health, social intervention, or work in culturally diverse contexts.
- Motivation letter (1 page), in which the candidate explains their interest in the programme, professional goals, and previous experience in cultural diversity.
- Language certificate (if applicable), demonstrating a sufficient level of Spanish to follow the programme, especially in the case of international students.

Access requirements

- Hold a university degree or equivalent qualification (minimum of 180 ECTS credits or 3 academic years).

Specific programme requirements:

- Preferred degree in fields such as health sciences, social sciences, or education (e.g., medicine, nursing, psychology, social work, social education, or related disciplines).
- Basic knowledge of mental health, psychosocial intervention, or work with vulnerable populations, acquired through academic training or professional experience.
- Recommended (but not mandatory) professional experience in the healthcare, social, or educational sectors, especially in contexts of cultural diversity.
- Sufficient language proficiency in Spanish or Catalan to follow hybrid sessions and participate in training activities.

Selection criteria

In the event that the number of applications meeting the admission requirements exceeds the number of places available, the programme coordination will apply the following selection criteria:

1. Relevance of the academic and professional background to the programme content (mental health, psychosocial intervention, migration, cultural diversity).
2. Previous experience in the healthcare, social, educational, or community sectors, especially in culturally diverse contexts.
3. Quality and coherence of the motivation letter, assessing commitment to the field, professional goals, and the relevance of the programme to the candidate’s development.
4. Assessment of the curriculum vitae, considering additional training, projects, publications, or participation in related activities.

In the event of a tie, priority will be given to candidates with greater direct professional experience in contexts of cultural diversity or social vulnerability.
