Film forum of the documentary Earth's Greatest Enemy and conversation with director Abby Martin
On 27 March 2026 the UAB Cinema Hall, located at the Plaça Cívica, will host the screening of the documentary Earth’s Greatest Enemy, which analyses the environmental impact of militarism and focuses on the role of the United States military as one of the institutions with the largest ecological footprint. The activity will begin at 1:30 p.m. and end at 4 p.m.

Directed by journalist and documentary maker Abby Martin, the film travels through settings ranging from Alaskan glaciers to contaminated battlefields, and collects testimonies from veterans and scientists to expose how military practices poison ecosystems and accelerate global warming.
At the end of the screening, a debate will take place with director Abby Martin and researchers from CREAF and ICTA-UAB, which will allow the audience to delve deeper into the environmental consequences of militarism and the challenges for sustainability and climate justice.
