Residences

The Residences

Residencies are veterinary specialization programs currently taught at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona that consist of a highly qualified postgraduate training period of 3 years, with the aim of preparing residents to pass the European exam which allows obtaining the title of specialist or European diploma in the corresponding veterinary specialty. The European title is valid in the European Union, but it is also recognized (endorsed) in other countries (such as the USA or Australia).

All these programs are integrated into the VIR Program (Veterinarian Intern Resident) of the UAB. In the Department of Animal Health and Anatomy we currently have two residency positions activated within the Veterinary Pathology Specialization Program, approved by the European College of Pathologists in 2005.
