Graduate Diploma in Surgery and Anaesthesia in Small Animals
IntroductionFollowing the creation of the European Area of Higher Education, one of the University's main objectives is to transfer knowledge to the professional world. This has been the goal of the Animal Medicine and Surgery department at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona for over twenty years, when we introduced the ophthalmology courses, followed by others like anaesthetics or surgery workshops that many veterinarians have taken.
Considering the training needs of veterinarians dedicated to Small Animal Clinic, we want to offer this graduate certificate supported by previous experience in several surgery and anaesthesia workshops, which we have now put together to create this programme. It also makes use of online resources thanks to the experience gained by the faculty in an earlier course taught through the Graduate School and sponsored by a company in the veterinary sector.

- Recognise critical situations in anaesthetics and be able to act immediately to successfully overcome them.
