The initiative, designed and launched by Luna Martínez, Marc Martínez and Marta Pareja, is funded by the Solidarity Autonomous Foundation (FAS) and has received support and advising from the Observatory for Equality.

19/04/2017

This project stems from the diagnosis conducted by the Observatory for Equality published within the Third Action Plan for Equality between women and men at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2013). This action aims at raising the awareness of the position of women in our community and, in particular, of sexism at UAB.

To this end, the Observatory’s stand will host this campaign during the Associations Fai rat Plaça Cívica next Wednesday 26 April. The campaign consists of several cartoons designed jointly by the designer Desirée Arco and the graphic designer Nicolás Valdés. These sketches intend to reflect and invite reflection on certain phenomena that remain among our university, such as vertical and horitzontal segregation, the scissor graph and the glass ceiling. You are welcome to participate, ask and reflect on the project during the Fair.

The campaign will end with the activity “Which is your idea for gender equality at UAB?, an open contest where all students from UAB can draw a cartoon to propose a measure or proposal intended to improve the actual situation described by the original cartoons. The cartoons and contest rules can be found below or at the following URL: http://iuabtatdegenere.blogspot.es/
Everyone is welcomed to participate in these activities!
