The main objective of the Master’s Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry for Healthcare to provide students with advanced knowledge in the field of the chemistry for the health sciences. Specific objectives include building a solid theoretical framework to understand chemical and biochemical quantities in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, teaching the methodological basis of relevant analytical techniques in the field of health, and promoting critical assessment of progress and trends in relation to biomarkers and emerging drugs. In addition, topics such as the theoretical basis of specific biomedical areas, quality management regulations in health laboratories, and the practical application of knowledge about biochemistry and biomedicine to analytical chemistry in the field of healthcare will be addressed. The programme also aims to develop skills for the critical evaluation of research and the identification of entrepreneurial opportunities in the field of chemistry for healthcare.
