Introduction
The METiP offers the chance to choose between two specialisations of great social importance: regional planning on the one hand and demography on the other. This master's degree leads on to our PhD degrees, of which both Demography and Geography have received Awards for Excellence from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. Students can also carry out work placements in a wide range of private companies and public bodies, and attend workshops, and they are required to write a master's dissertation demonstrating excellence in research. In the case of the specialisation in Regional Planning, the syllabus includes the possibility of carrying out fieldwork over several days, on which the content and assessment of many modules are then based.
