Wednesday, February 19 will be held the Colloquium of the Department of Mathematics, by Professor Pedro Delicado
Clasificación de pirámides de población que evolucionan en el tiempo, by Professor Pedro Delicado (UPC) Summary: We will present a methodology, in the frame of Analysis of Functional Data, to analyse the pyramids of population of the countries of the world, since the year 1950 until the 2010, with an dual purpose: to do cluster analysis of the pyramids of population of each country and every year; to do a classification for the group of movies of the pyramids of population that show their evolution. An important point to take into account is the geographic distribution of the countries, which adds a difficulty to make clusters and produce their graphical representacions. |
