• To develop new models of reconstructed human skin toincorporate blood vessel into “in vitro” skin models

The group is interested in characterizing the mechanismsinvolved in cerebral and peripheral vascular pathology afterischaemia/reperfusion episodes, or associated with rarediseases that affect the cardiovascular system. In addition, thegroup is seeking for cerebroprotective strategies to fight thesediseases. Finally, the group is interested in developing new “invitro” models of reconstructed human skin in which vesselsare included, in order to test potential protective treatments inenvironments that closely resemble the human skin scenario.
