Service of Farms and Experimental Fields (SGCE)
The Farm and Experimental Fields Service (SGCE) provides spaces, facilities and material and personnel equipment to support research requiring the use of animals and/or plants. Its functions include all those related to the organisation and development of animal studies (subject to prior authorisation by the UAB Ethics Committee) involving different species, as well as the maintenance of the animals.
Services
- Housing of animals under farm conditions and for productive purposes of the following species: bovine, ovine, caprine, porcine, canine, poultry, rabbits and equine.
- Housing of animals under experimental conditions of the following species: bovine, ovine, caprine, porcine, canine, poultry, rabbits and equine.
- Maintenance and management of the service's arable land and experimental fields under experimental conditions.
- Maintenance of the campus's landscape and agricultural biodiversity.
