Official Master's Degree in Research and Innovation in Nursing Care

Access

Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.

Admission requirements

The admission requirements are as follows.
  • A university nursing qualification or equivalent.
  • Applicants must have a level of basic research methodology corresponding to 3 or more ECTS, as certified by a university institution.

Selection criteria

Should the number of applicants be higher than that of places on offer, these will be allocated according to the following criteria:
  • Academic Transcript (50%).
  • Curriculum Vitae, showing employment and research experience (30%).
  • Motivation letter (5%).
  • Level B1 in English (15%).
Applicants may be invited to a personal interview.

Basic comprehension skills in Italian are assumed, without the need for certificates, given the similarities between Romance languages and the fact that these placements involve observation rather than actual caregiving.

The placement tutors on the Spanish side are lecturers on the master's degree who accompany the students, and there is also a tutor at the host institution who speaks Spanish.

Complementary training

All students without previous training in basic research methodology will be offered the chance to enrol in the subject Initiation to Research Methodology, for 3 ECTS, taught by the Sant Joan de Déu University Nursing School, which forms part of this master's programme.
