Admission Official Master's Degree in Economic Analysis

Access

Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements are as follows:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Management and Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or equivalent qualifications.
  • Level of English equivalent to B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference of the Council of Europe.

Selection criteria

Should the number of applicants be higher than that of places on offer, these will be allocated according to the following criteria:
  • Grade point average of the academic transcript (40%)
  • Reference letters (30%)
  • University-level knowledge of quantitative and analytical methods (transcript grades for subjects relating to quantitative methods will be taken into account (20%)
  • Scores of 80% or higher in the GRE http://www.ets.org/gre/) and/or GMAT (http://www.mba.com/) exams (10%)

Complementary training

Students with a qualification in Economics, Business Management and Administration and Finance will access the master's degree directly without having to take bridging courses.

Graduates in other subjects may need to take up to 18 credits in bridging courses. The Master's Committee will establish any bridging courses to be followed on the basis of students' academic track record, choosing from the following subjects within the Bachelor's Degree programme in Economics:
  • Introduction to Economics, 6 ECTS
  • Microeconomics I, 6 ECTS
  • Macroeconomics II, 6 ECTS
