Nuria Morgado, a graduate in Information Sciences at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, has been appointed new director of the American Academy of the Spanish Language.

The faculty is pleased to congratulate Nuria Morgado, an outstanding former student, for her recent appointment as director of the American Academy of the Spanish Language (ANLE). This prestigious recognition not only validates Nuria’s individual achievements, but also reflects the level of academic excellence that we promote in our faculty.

Nuria Morgado, born in Barcelona and graduated in Information Sciences from the UAB in 1991, has demonstrated a remarkable professional career in the field of Hispanic studies and literature. With a solid academic background that includes a PhD in Peninsular and Latin American Literature from the University of Arizona, Nuria has stood out for her contribution to cultural and linguistic dialogue both in Spain and in the United States.

Her appointment as director of the ANLE is a deserved recognition for her dedication and excellence in the field of Hispanic communication and culture. In its new role, Nuria will have the opportunity to promote and preserve the richness and diversity of the Spanish language in the international arena, thus strengthening ties between Spanish-speaking communities around the world.

In addition to her work as director of the ANLE, Nuria Morgado has played a prominent role as an academic, researcher, lecturer, literary critic and editor. His commitment to the study and dissemination of Hispanic culture has been recognized both in Spain and in the United States, where he has lived since 1992.
