Dr Anna Sala, entrepreneur and Head of Innovation at the Hospital Vall d'Hebron, to present her anAPPhylaxis project at the UAB

Sala is co-founder and medical director of the company that created anAPPhylaxis, a device for patients with anaphylaxis that works through an app. She will go over the development of this project in an exclusive and free networking session for UAB students. The session will inaugurate the cycle on Conferències d’Emprenedors/es TOP and will take place on Tuesday 13 December at 1 p.m. at the UAB-Emprèn offices.

This is the first edition of the Conferències d'Emprenedors/es TOP organised by UAB-Emprèn

Doctor Anna Sala, Head of the Innovation Unit at the Hospital Vall d’Hebron (where she is in charge of Quality, Processes and Innovation) as well as co-founder and medical director of anAPPhylaxis, will be the guest speaker of the inaugural session of the cycle "Conferències d’Emprenedors/es TOP" organised by UAB-Emprèn programme. The activity will allow participants to discover her entrepreneurial experience first-hand and take part in a networking session, thus expanding their knowledge and skills in the field of generation of ideas and entrepreneurship.

After she took part in the innovation programme of the Imagine Creativity Center in Silicon Valley in 2013, Dr Sala co-founded the company Adan Medical Innovation, which developed integrated ditigal solutions to help improve the management of anaphylaxis. The company now offers two different products: AnAPPhylaxis, a smart self-injectable epinephrine case connected to a mobile device, and WE SAVE, a smart box of self-injectable epipens for public spaces.

Dr Sala has very close ties with the UAB, having graduated Doctor Cum Laude in 2012 and since then, has also given lectures in the Master's Degree in Immunology.
