This event aims to deepen and reflect on knowledge transfer in the field of social sciences and humanities, an area in which research valorisation still raises many debates as to what we can consider transfer and what are the mechanisms to assess its impact.

The meeting is aimed at lecturers, researchers, and management and service staff from all universities in Catalonia, and will take place on 9 and 10 May from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the conference hall of the Rectorat building of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

Laia Arnal, director general of Knowledge Transfer and Society of the Government of Catalonia, and Rosa María Sebastián, vice-rector for Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship at the UAB, will open the day with institutional speeches. Following that, Julia Olmos, professor in Business Organisation and member of INN4ALL, research group in Innovation, Science and Society of the University of Valencia, will offer the conference "Valorització social de la recerca en ciències socials i humanitats. Aprenent del sexenni de transferència" [Social valorisation of research in social sciences and humanities. Learning from the six-year transfer period].

The day will continue with two round tables, which will serve as a space to discuss what we mean by knowledge transfer in these fields and how to assess the impact of this transfer. These round tables will be attended by researchers from different Catalan universities.

The event will be closed by Anna Matamala, principal investigator of TransMedia Catalonia, a research group of the Department of Translation and Interpreting and East Asian Studies at the UAB and director of the AccessCat Network, and Javier Lafuente, rector of the UAB.
