The 1st Conference on Prevention, Security and Global Law was successfully held
On April 10, the 1st Conference on Prevention, Security and Global Law took place. The conference addressed how to move towards a society with less violence and more security, integrating different disciplines, such as forensic medicine, psychiatry, criminology, law or psychology.

The Manuel Ballbé Chair promoted the 1st conference on prevention, security and global law that was held at the Faculty of Law of the UAB on April 10 and which featured leading experts in the different fields of security from a comprehensive and integrating vision. Classical disciplines such as law, criminology, psychology, psychiatry and forensic medicine came together with the academic and professional objective of moving towards a society with less violence and more security. The great dangers and risks that threaten us are global and transversal and the university community brought them to the surface during an intense day that showed that only with multidisciplinary teams of professional and academic experts will it be possible to create the necessary strategies to reduce them.
The opening remarks were given by the Vice-Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. R.Esteban and followed by those of the Director of the Chair, Dr. Roser Martínez, those of the Magistrate of the Provincial Court of Madrid, Dr. Ricardo Rodríguez and those of the Rector of the Humani World University, Dr. Rocío Naveja. Also at the welcome table were the directors of the event, Dr. Bernat-N Tiffon (UAO-ESERP) and Dr. Miquel Àngel Serrat (UAB) who made it possible for representatives of the most prominent Universities (UB, UPF, Abad Oliva-CEU), and other institutions to meet at our Faculty to offer knowledge and innovation and take a step forward so that our society improves in terms of well-being and safety and that the UAB continues to be a leader. in the field of comprehensive prevention.
