Summary: Time and matter have been analysed by humanists and scientist over many centuries. This book approaches both time and matter from the perspective of the sciences and in dialogue with questions raised by humanities. The first part examines time and memory in the universe and life. The second part looks at the subject from four perspectives: elemental matter, cosmic matter and living matter. The book also includes several poems by the author on time and matter, thus combining science and poetry.

Summary: The fairs that take place in Catalonia are a complexed service activity generating high levels of waste at a specific time. The current management of this waste generally only deals with the final treatment, which is through land-fill sites and incineration plants. In an attempt to improve this situation, this guide proposes solutions to apply to each stage of a fair, and targets the different people involved in the organisation. The guide also identifies and explains correct environmental practices currently used in our fairs.
