BA in ArchaeologyIn recent years, there has been an increasing demand of archaeologists in the labor market. The UAB was one of the first universities to create studies in archaeology in response to this need. The BA in Archaeology at UAB provides students not only with the knowledge of theoretical, methodological and technical skills in archaeology. They will also receive basic training as historians. The theoretical knowledge and scientific rigour of these studies will allow them to work with ruins of a wide range of times, from prehistory to the modern era.
Graduates in archaeology are prepared for a career in archaeology or heritage studies (field archaeology, management of archaeological heritage in museums, cultural institutions, archaeological sites, etc.). Beyond that, they can develop careers as History teachers, conduct historical and archaeological studies or do cultural assessment. Our students will also be ready to occupy positions in public institutions, or be involved in the management of international projects and research in universities and research centres.
