Gender inequalities at university reveal at different levels and take different forms: violence, individual choices of fields of knowledge, professions or research contents, in our professional and participative practices, in the recruitment of new staff, in our aspirations and priorities, in the system of career promotion, or in the scientific and organisational culture, among others. Diagnostic studies and collected data examined over a decade evidence the existence of differences between women and men, which could be understood as signs of discrimination, indirect or covert, in specific aspects and practices within the university institution.

This section presents the indicators that measure the degree of sexism at UAB, which have been selected from a previous diagnose. These indicators allow us to shed light into the situation of women in our institution, raising awareness of the aspects that need a deeper analysis and intervention.
