Learn a language this summer!
UAB Idiomes Campus is offering university summer courses for learners of English. These courses are of different types, to cater for a wide range of needs.
General classroom-based language courses (levels 3 to 7), of 80 hours, from levels B1 to C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Presenting Research: a 20-hour course on strategies for presenting research work at meetings, conferences or workshops. Aimed at teaching and research staff (PDI) of the UAB who want to improve their public-speaking skills in English.
Thesis Writing in English courses (20 classroom hours), aimed at doctoral students, for whom the course is 100% subsidised.
Distance English (levels 1–6): 80-150 hours' student workload per level, on the Dexway e-learning platform. The programme goes from CEFR level A1 to C1. The licence for using the platform runs for 12 months.
The courses are mainly addressed to members of the university community but are open to anyone.
Students can learn at a particularly fast pace on our summer courses, as classes are practical and interactive, with the focus on communicating. It's important to work outside the classroom too. UAB Idiomes Campus teachers have wide experience and specialise in working with university-based adult learners.
