International students: Non-resident and non-EU

This procedure is for students who want to undertake undergraduate studies in a Catalan university and fulfil the following requirements:

Requirements:

  • In order to apply for a place in the UAB, according to this year regulation you will need to homologate your secondary education diploma issued in a non-EU country that has no currently agreements with Spain and not being a Spanish resident.
  • In order to apply for a place in an affiliated university, according to this year regulation you will need to homologate your secondary education diploma issued in a non-EU country that has no currently agreements with Spain.
  • If you want to apply for a place for studies with vacancies after September pre-registration (check them here), you will only need to homologate your secondary education diploma issued in a non-EU country that has no currently agreements with Spain.
Procedure:
  • In the first place, if you do not have your secondary studies homologated, you will need to request it in the Departament d’Ensenyament of the Generalitat de Catalunya. For more information, check this website: Estudiar en Cataluña.
  • Secondly, with your homologated diploma, you will need to request access to undergraduate studies at the Oficina d'Accés a la Universitat. For more information, visit the Generalitat webiste: accesnet.
  • Finally, when the Oficina d'Accés a la Universitat grants you a place, you need to contact the Academic Management Office of the faculty or school you want to study and they will inform you about the registration date and procedure.
