Welcoming session for the second round of the UAB Summer School
Description:
Laura Santamaria, vice-rector for International Relations and Language Policy at the UAB, will be in charge of welcoming the more than 300 students from 58 different nationalities participating in the second round of the UAB Barcelona Summer School, which will take place from 15 July to 2 August.
Also speaking at the welcoming session will be Graham Mortyn, academic coordinator of the UAB Barcelona Summer School.
This second round, which will last three weeks, includes 16 courses on different subjects such as economics, biology, neurosciences, etc. Almost all courses will be offered in English.
In addition to classes, students were able to enjoy a social programme full of cultural and sports activities.

Closing session of the second round of Campus Ítaca
Description:
Campus Ítaca, an initiative by the UAB organised by the UAB Solidarity Foundation (FAS) and sponsored by Banco Santander, will end this year's second round with an event in which all family members of the participants are invited to attend, and in which participants will be able to show the results of earch group's research projects. The event will take place on 16 July at 5 p.m. and will be held in both the conference hall of the Rectorat building, and the UAB Auditorium at the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.

Information session for future students with special educational needs and their families
Description:
UAB - PIUNE information session on inclusion aimed at future students of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and their families.
The session is aimed at new students with special educational needs (NESE) so that they can learn about the options available to them and the steps they need to take to continue studyin under the same conditions of other students.

Online information session on Industrial PhDs
Description:
The industrial PhD is carried out within a company where the PhD student has a contract while developing his or her doctoral thesis. The thesis, therefore, is included in a collaboration agreement between the university and the company.
In order to explain the details of this type of doctoral programme, the UAB Doctoral School is organising an information session aimed at first-year master's or PhD students, master's and PhD coordinators and companies that may be interested.
During the session, the requirements and deadlines to develop an industrial PhD will be explained and the grants that the Government of Catalonia offers within its Industrial Doctorates Plan will be presented. There will also be the participation of the UAB Parc de Recerca, which will detail the services they offer around the industrial PhD programme.
The session will be in Catalan and can be followed by Teams. To attend the session, it is necessary to register through this link.

How to rethink Catalan universities in the current situation
Description:
As part of the Catalan Summer University, Xavier Gabarrell, vice-rector of Campus and Sustainability of the UAB, will participate in "How to rethink Catalan universities in the current situation", which will also bring together representatives from the University of Barcelona, the University of Girona and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. The meeting will take place on 22 August at 12 noon at the Liceu Polivalent Charles Renouvier in the town of Prada.
