A musical jewel
A research group of UAB determined and reconstructed the manuscript used in 1798 in the first representation of Così fan tutte performed in Barcelona. According to information found in the opera booklet published in Barcelona, researchers have determined that some fragments of the original score were eliminated and others were adapted for the occasion. Musicologists believed that these adaptations simply responded to the likes of the city at that time. But now they have discovered the real reasons behind it. The discovery of this musical jewel is of great importance to the artistic heritage of Catalonia.

3 Questions: Jean Vezin
Jean Vezin, recently awarded honorary doctorate by the UAB, is one of the leading authorities on the paleography of the early Middle Ages. Born in Vannes, France, in 1933, Vezin received his degree as a palaeography archivist from École des Chartes in 1958. Vezin has been awarded several honours and prizes and is member of the most prestigious international organisations in his specialisation.
