Artificial intelligence and big data are transforming audiology, offering new opportunities to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with hearing disorders. This course provides a comprehensive overview of how these technologies are revolutionizing the field, enabling more accurate, efficient, and personalized audiology. Participants will learn about AI, machine learning, and large-scale data analysis applied to audiological diagnosis through advanced algorithms, as well as the role of big data in identifying patterns and predicting outcomes.

The course will also address the impact of precision medicine in tailoring individualized treatments and the importance of data standards and interoperability to ensure effective integration of information. Ethical considerations related to privacy, security, and the responsible use of AI in hearing health will also be discussed. With a theoretical and practical approach, this course prepares audiology professionals to leverage the latest technological innovations and improve patients’ quality of life through intelligent, data-driven solutions.

We present this training in response to a growing need for specialized education in the field of audiology. This demand has been expressed by various involved institutions, including healthcare centers, educational entities, and research organizations (ANA, National Association of Hearing Aid Specialists; CREDA, Resource Center for Students with Hearing Disabilities; ENT Department of Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol; ENT and Head and Neck Surgery Department of Hospital Sant Pau), which have identified the need to update and expand knowledge in technologies applied to hearing health. This program is designed to provide comprehensive and advanced training that addresses current challenges in the sector and contributes to improving audiological care.
