Are you a nurse looking to gain the necessary skills to lead nursing activities in the surgical area? Would you like to receive quality training to work as a professional in surgery in level II and III care specialties? Then the postgraduate degree in Surgical Nursing is for you.

The main objective of this degree is to enable the acquisition of general and specific skills required to provide specialist care for people who undergo a surgical process. To this end, the degree is taught by professionals who are experts in learning resources and practical training.

We also offer internships in distinct centres, such as level III hospitals, where pathologies of maximum complexity are treated. These hospitals carry out a full range of surgical specialties at the highest scientific, technological and humanistic level. In addition, workshops will be held at both classroom and hospital level, complemented by work sessions in small groups, offering comprehensive immersion in the field of research. You will then present your own research work, supervised by specialists.

Internships

The work experience is compulsory and takes place in the professional atmosphere of an area of surgical area of ​​the Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, ​​Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital and San Rafael Hospital. The aim of the placement is to be able to put into play the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that are involved in students' ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently.

To achieve this aim and be able to evaluate it, students are assigned a placement of six weeks with the same working hours as the nurse who tutor and assess them. During this work experience period students are required to produce a portfolio including a report of their learning.
