Master's Degree in Infectious Diseases

Master's degree created to offer training in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Aimed principally at doctors specialising in internal medicine who wish to increase their knowledge in this area of medical pathology.

The Master's degree offer broad training in theory and especially in the practical aspects as we consider that immersion in real cases of clinical practice accompanied by experts in different aspects of infectology is the best way to acquire simultaneously the necessary theoretical knowledge for up-to-date and quality care.

At the same time, students receive guidance and tutorials on how to carry out a research project, with support for its publication and public defence, with personalised advice from doctors specialising in different fields of infectology.

For 25 years we have been seeking to achieve our objective of producing professionals who are able to deal with infectious pathologies.

Career opportunities

Doctors specialising in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine can find employment opportunities in their respective specialist areas in hospitals or health centres that require staff with specific abilities in the handling of infectious pathologies.

Internships

UAB masters and graduate diplomas may include or facilitate external academic internships in companies or institutions in order to help the student to achieve a level of expertise that facilitates the insertion or promotion in the workplace.

For this study programme non-curricular (optional) internships are possible:
