Specialisation in Illustration for Children and Youth Publications

The Postgraduate course in Illustration for Children and Youth Publications at EINA, coordinated by Gabriela Rubio, allows you to carry out projects for leisure and learning in different areas: pre-reading publications, illustrations for magazines and games, text and general interest publications and children’s picture books. 

This programme is aimed at people with studies in or related to the world of Design, Fine Art, Advertising, Communication, Graphics, Animation, Comic.

The postgraduate course is divided into 3 modules which allow exploration and detailed knowledge of the different narrative graphic resources, illustration projects for leisure and general interest and illustration projects for narratives. 

The Postgraduate course in Illustration for Children and Youth Publications is taught by professional experts in the sector who bring a broad view to the course, such as David Borrull (Maliboo), Pep Brocal, Mercè Canals, Lluís Domenech (Llüisot), Gustavo Ariel Rosemffet (Gusti), Allan Rabelo, Lucas Ramada Prieto, Gabriela Rubio, Irene Savino, Roger Zanni and Jorge Zentner.

Career opportunities

Professional illustrators; illustrators specialising in the area of children and young people; design and illustration of products for babies and children (merchandising, prints, gadgets and toys); illustrators of comics, textbooks, apps, leisure and educational magazines of all types of content for children and young people; publishing illustrator; art director in publishing companies and companies in the children and young people sector.

• My name is Rosie and I'm an illustration geek. Despite being 42 years old, not speaking Spanish very well, working almost full time as a secondary school art teacher and having two children, last year I signed up for a postgraduate diploma in children's book illustration. I'm glad I did. It is one of the best things I have ever done. The tutors were AMAZING, not only fantastic illustrators but also excellent teachers.
