Introduction

After fourteen editions, the Graduate Diploma in Legal Translation continues to pioneer the training of legal translators in Spain. Student satisfaction is extremely high, with survey scores of well over 4 out of 5 in each edition, and the course's prestige in the professional sphere is unquestionable: similar courses at other universities have never been able to achieve continuity. The continuity of this programme is justified by the success of its most recent editions. Since legal translation is in great demand and requires specialised training (in students' first language, in the foreign language, and in legal content) it is well-suited to an interdisciplinary format, and the training provided is enriched by the variety of student profiles: translators, linguists and law graduates.
