The aim of this first module is to delve more deeply into the history of the letter and its forms. It includes courses in manual letter design, calligraphy and lettering, together with theory sessions on history of typography, font formats, digital construction, architecture of alphabets and Python programming.


History and practice of writing, calligraphy and typography aimed at providing an in-depth knowledge of the letter through the history of its forms. Students study subjects on the design of manual letters, Calligraphy, Lettering, accompanied by theoretical sessions on the history of typography and diverse sessions on Paleotypography, font formats, programming in Python.
Digital architecture of the letter, consisting of learning to design letters and alphabets based on digital systems. Subjects include: digital construction, alphabet architecture and programming in Python.
