Collection of science-fiction books of Xavier Úcar
Description of the collection:
It is made up of all those science-fiction books that I enjoyed, made me think, question myself and learn. These are books that I have experienced and lived first hand and that have accompanied me throughout my life. These are books that I loved and love, so I wanted to share them with anyone interested in literature as stimulating and exciting as Science-Fiction.
This is a collection made of collections where you will find classics as, among others, Acerbo, Ultramar, Bruguera, Orbis and Martinez Roca and more contemporary collections such as ediciones B or Factoría de las Ideas.
I have followed many authors over the years. Within the collection there are classic authors such as Frank Herbert, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, Robert A. Heinlein, Clifford D. Simak, Roger Zelazny, Ray Bradbury, Robert Silverbeg, Orson Scott Card and more contemporary authors that, in recent years, I read with great interest such as Alastair Reynolds, Peter F. Hamilton, China Miéville or Ian M. Banks.
Although most of the books are science fiction, there are some works of fantasy as well. From classics like Orson Scott Card "A planet called Treason" or "Hart's Hope" to works of contemporary authors like Brandon Sanderson and George R.R. Martin.
I have always liked sagas. You may find, among other things: Frank Herbert's Dune saga, the Foundation Trilogy by Isaac Asimov and its continuation by other authors in The Many-Colored Land by Julian May, the Vorkosigan Saga by Lois McMaster Bujold, the Ender saga by Orson Scott Card, Cyteen and Chanur saga by C.J. Cherryh, and the Hyperion saga by Dan Simmons.
