Brief description of the formation of the collection:
Bibliographical collection compiled by the economist Joan Carandell i Marimón (1901-1988) specializing in Economics and Economic Thought. It also contains documents about Sociology and Law (XVI to XX centuries).
There is a part of the digitized fund.

Type of documents and number of documents
The collection consists of more than 11,000 documents between monographs and periodicals that correspond to works published during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, more than 175 periodicals, 1,800 brochures, 600 volumes of books published between the 16th and 18th centuries, 1,130 diverse documents (S. XVI-XIX), of which about 110 are Pragmatic, 325 are Real Certificates and the rest are other types of documents of a different nature and regulation. There is also documentation from the Institutional Fund of the Mint of the Principality of Catalonia, from the year 1808.
