In order to carry out the Final Degree Project at another university through the SICUE program, it is necessary to give the approval of the exchange coordinators of the two universities, both the original one (UAB) and the host one. However, not all universities offer to do the TFG within the SICUE exchange.
The student must be enrolled in the academic year 2023/24 and enroll in the academic year 2024/25.
To ensure that the student knows his educational system well, on September 30, 2023 he must have a minimum of 45 credits passed and be enrolled in 30 more credits.
For second-cycle degree students, credits passed in first-cycle studies plus those passed in the second cycle after September 30, 2023 will be taken into account.
For stays of 9 months, the student must take a minimum of 45 credits at the destination university, and 24 in the case of stays of 5 months. In those situations where the student has fewer credits left to complete his studies than the minimum required for each type of stay, he may opt for the exchange if he meets the other requirements.
The same beneficiary may not obtain more than one SICUE exchange at the same university, nor more than one in each academic year.
Procedure for applying for SICUE places
The deadline for submitting applications for the SICUE program will be from 19 February to 4 March 2024.
The application will be submitted electronically through the UAB Intranet Services portal. You need to go to OUT Exchange Requests and Inquiry option. A maximum of 5 destinations can be requested.
Selection of places and resolution
The allocation of places is carried out in the centers, and is based on the average grade of the file of the previous year 2022-2023 and in accordance with the established in article 5 of the R.D. 1125/2003.
5% of the total available places will be reserved for students who have a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%. In the event that these places are not filled in the first phase, a new selection process will be opened for students without a recognized disability. Students who have not submitted the certificate of disability must send it by email to their academic management before the end of the application period, on 4th March..
Once the first decision is published, the student must accept the place granted. Otherwise, you can request a change of seat; for this you can go to the Exchange Office of your center during the established period. Once the second resolution is published, people who have obtained a new place will have to accept it. The established dates are these:
- First resolution: March 22, 2024
- Acceptance of places: until April 5, 2024
- Place changes and reassignments: April 8 to 15, 2024
- Second resolution: April 19, 2024
- Acceptance of places (2nd resolution): until 26 April 2024
- Extraordinary application for vacancies: until 10 May 2024

Electronic Signing
To carry out procedures with the UAB, it will be necessary to have a digital certificate in order to be able to sign the documents by electronic signature. If you do not have a digital certificate you can obtain the IdCAT certificate for free by accessing the idCAT web, and later requesting previous appointment to OAMR (Registration Assistance Office) of the Rectorate building, or any of the city councils and citizen care offices of Catalonia.”

New to the 2024/25 call: a new sigm@ feature has been activated that allows OUT students to attach documents to the application. You will find information on how to attach them in this link.
On the other hand, the documentation attached to the exchange process (at the time of the application, before, during and after the stay) and which appears as Validated in the student's personal area of the SIA page "Consultation and out exchange request", will be only for the purposes of the exchange stays and not for another procedure with the UAB is necessary."
