Training maintenance for staff using experimental animals

In order to be able to renew the recognized training of personnel using experimental animals for one or more functions, according to Ministerial Order ECC/566/2015, of March 20, it is necessary to accredit a continuing training every eight years from the date of approval of the aforementioned Ministerial Order.

For this reason, the renewal of the accreditation will have to be managed individually with the Generalitat before April 1, 2023.

In this sense, continuing education activities will be considered teaching or attending courses, publishing articles, ethical evaluations, seminars, presentations, workshops or scientific conferences, authorized stays at research centers, or other similar activities, which are aimed at the learning of new techniques, methods or regulations applicable to experimentation with animals or that serve to keep them up to date (the details of the activities and their assessment in hours can be found in this Guide on maintaining the training of personnel).
