XV Institutional Day in commemoration of the 8M at the UAB

On March, 5, the XV Institutional Day in commemoration of Women's International Day will take place at the UAB. The event will include the recognition to Dr. Laura Duarte Campderrós, responsible specialist of the Observatory for Equality of the UAB, as well as the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Observatory.

Next Thursday, the 5th of March, the XV Institutional Day in commemoration of the 8M, Women's International Day, will take place at the UAB. The event will be held at 11:30h in the Sala d'Actes of Rectorat, and will consist of the recognition of Doctor Laura Duarte Campderrós, responsible specialist of the Observatory for Equality of the UAB, and the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Observatory.

Margarita Arboix Arzo, rector of the UAB, will be the responsible for the opening of the day. Next, we will proceed to the presentation of the work streams of the Observatory, conducted by Sara Moreno Colom, vice-rector of Students and Employability, and Maria Prats Ferret, director of the Observatory for Equality.

Then, the recognition event for Dr. Laura Duarte Campderrós will start. The tribute will be presented by Maribel Ponferrada Arteaga, gender equality specialist in the Observatory. The awarding will take place after the projection of a tribute video about the personal and professional career of the honoree.

After the awarding and the speech of the honoree, the event will count on a roundtable with María Jesús Izquierdo Benito, Carolina Gala Durán, Montserrat Rifà Valls and Joana Gallego Ayala, former directors of the Observatory for Equality. It will be moderated by Lluís Ferrer i Caubet, who promoted the creation of the Observatory when he was the rector of the UAB. The goal is to share reflections on the collective path of the UAB's Observatory from its beginning until the present days.

The event will conclude with the speech of Margarita Arboix Arzo, rector of the UAB.
