Last days to apply for the the awards for the best final projects in social entrepreneurship

The works must be submitted at the UAB General Registry from 1 to 30 September

The UAB Social Council, in collaboration with the Office of the Vice Rector for Students and Employability, has announced the second edition of the awards for the best final projects in social entrepreneurship (Premis als Millors Treballs Finals de Grau (TFG) Relacionats amb l’Emprenedoria Social). These awards aim to foster the creation of final projects in this area and give visibility and recognition to students with entrepreneurial inquisitiveness.

Thus, the UAB will award a cash prize of 400 euros and a certificate of commendation to the top four projects, one for each area of knowledge: experimental and technological sciences, social sciences, human sciences and health sciences.

The TFGs must have been presented in the 2022/23 academic year by undergraduate students from any of the UAB teaching centres, they must have scored higher than 8 and the project must have been directly related to social entrepreneurship in any of its aspects (creating a business plan, viability study of a business project, entrepreneurial skills and abilities, etc.).

To participate, students must present their projects electronically at the UAB General Registry from 1 to 30 September 2023 according to the legal bases of the call.

The Awards Assessment Commission will be formed by members of the Office for the Vice Rector for Students and Employability, the Social Council, lecturing staff, Employment Services and the Research Park. The evaluation criteria include topic, valuable contributions, innovation, social impact, and the theoretical and methodological framework.

The award winners will be chosen in a maximum period of four months following the submission of projects at an awards ceremony which will be duly announced.
