High schools are getting ready for the High School Debate League’s 5th edition

High schools taking part in the 5th edition of the High School Debate League (SiB), organized by Xarxa Vives d’Universitats, will visit UAB on Tuesday 22 January to attend an informative session about the local round, which will take place from 25 to 28 February 2019.
The number of high schools registered for this edition, twenty-four in total, has increased compared to the sixteen participants last year. The League’s aim is to encourage the use of words through a dialectical confrontation in which each team has to defend a position on a hot topic.
The topic for debate in this edition will be: ‘Are borders between countries necessary?’. Local round winners will move on to the final round, which will take place in Universitat Abat Oliba CEU from 3 to 5 April 2019.
