Call for UAB lecturers and researchers, or research teams to assess the trajectory of Campus Ítaca
This year, Campus Ítaca will be celebrating its 20th anniversary and the UAB's FAS, as organiser of the Campus Ítaca, is looking for lecturers and researchers from the UAB to evaluate the evolution of the programme since its first edition.
Campus Ítaca is a socio-educational programme offered by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and funded by Banc Santander. It is addressed to high school students, who are invited to spend a few days on the UAB campus during the months of June and July. The programme aims to give continuity to their post-compulsory studies, become a place in which participants can spend time together and foster the use of Catalan as a common language on campus.
Throughout all these years, the project has been organises and managed by the Faculty of Education, the Institute for Education Studies and, since 2015, by the Fundació Autònoma Solidària.
Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Campus Ítaca, FAS has opened a call for lecturers and researchers, or research teams, from the UAB to evaluate the trajectory of this programme and discover the effects it has had since the first edition.
The evaluation will be in the form of a report with a detailed outline of the different stages of the programme; an analysis of the training proposals in the latest editions, and a list of recommendations to help improve the programme.
The evaluation will begin in February 2023 and end in June 2023.
Those applying must be members of the UAB PDI staff or research teams with experts in the areas of: academic success, equal opportunities and educational equity, training trajectories and social incluing programmes. Applicants must send a cover letter, curriculum vitae of each of the members of the UAB participating in the project, and any other information they consider to be of interest. Deadline for applications is 29 January 2023 at midnight and applications can be sent to campus.itaca@uab.cat.
