The UAB is conducting a study which will offer an analysis of the cross-curricular skills acquired thanks to participative practices by students of the UAB, and set the bases for a future model of evaluation and recognition of these skills. To do so, students are invited to participate by filling out the questionnaire included in this study.

The UAB, through its Office of the Vice Rector for Students and Employability and the Community Involvement Unit, and with the external collaboration of the Tandem Social cooperative, is conducting a study which will offer an analysis of the cross-curricular skills acquired thanks to participative practices by students of the UAB, and set the bases for a future model of evaluation and recognition of these skills.

The way in which teaching and learning takes place at university has evolved very rapidly in the past decades. A clear example of this can be seen these days, in which young people can learn from a distance and have greater access to information through the internet and social networks. Moreover, young people are more prone to learning and gaining experience outside the boundaries of formal education, although these learning experiences are often not officially recognised. There has been an increase in opportunities to acquire skills and, therefore, there is a greated need for collaborations between formal and non-formal learning systems.

The objective of this study is to identify and analyse cross-curricular skills acquired by students when participating in activities, entitites, associations, as representatives of student bodies and other collectives at university, etc. so as to evaluate the influence these activities, programmes and volunteering tasks have on their academic education and professional career, as well as to define the bases of future evaluation and recognition processes.

To do so, the UAB requests that all students participate in a questionnaire to help determine the analysis data and discover the role they play in different participatory activities, as well as the cross-curricular skills acquired in each activity.
