This 2016/17 academic year, the UAB offers fifteen minors organised by its centres and addressed to students aiming to acquire knowledge in an area different from their bachelor's degree by taking subjects from another degree.

If all subjects in the minor itinerary are passed, students are issued a European Diploma Supplement once they complete their degree. In addition, the credits taken in the minor will form part of the total of credits needed to obtain a university degree and will count as optional credits of the degree the student is studying.

UAB's offer of minor studies allows students to receive a more specialised and internationalised training, with the aim of being better prepared for future employment options.

The UAB offers the following minors: Language Sciences, Classical Culture, Medieval Romance Cultures and Literatures, Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship, Language and Voice Problems, German Studies, Basque Studies, East Asian Studies, Gender Studies, Philosophy, Galician Studies, Literary and Cultural Studies, Portuguese Studies, Human Evolution and Palaeontology, and Italian Studies.
