UAB offers the 2nd edition of U2B, from University to Business

After the success of the first edition, the UAB once again offers a course on entrepreneurship and businesses for PhD candidates and graduates entitled U2B: from University to Business. The objective of the course is to build bridges between universities and companies and make sure new and future PhD graduates are the protagonists.

Are you enrolled in a PhD programme and have a business idea? Are you working on applied research and would like to find funding for your project outside the university? Are you seeking to enter the world of business or entrepreneurship? These are the questions the 15 members of the 2nd promotion of the course in U2B from University to Business answered affirmatively, all of them with different academic and professional profiles, as well as from different countries (Canada, Poland, Italy, Portugal, China, Argentina, etc.).

What is the U2B course?

  • The UAB course in entrepreneurship and businesses is a tailor-made course designed for PhD candidates, graduates and researchers.
  • The course is taught by professors from the entrepreneurship and business world.
  • Contents are geared to business creation and management, using examples of successful initiatives in R+D+I and university-business transfer.
  • With the UAB seal of quality.
The course will be offered from 6 February to 20 March, on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Moreover, students will only have to pay €100 for the course thanks to private funding received which covers a large part of the costs of the programme.

U2B provides an integrated foundation of knowledge and essential elements found in creating and managing a business, practical aspects such as how to become an entrepreneur and specific examples of successful innovative initiatives. It fosters and promotes an entrepreneurial spirit and initiative amongst its students. The programme's foremost objective is to broaden the possibilities of PhD graduates and candidates to further their development in the business world.
