The classrooms of the UAB are filled with "Responem davant les violències masclistes" posters

Cartell Responem 2022

As classes resume after Easter, the Observatory for Equality has continued with the campaign "Responem davant les violències masclistes" (“We respond to male chauvinist violence”) by distributing an informative poster to all classrooms at the UAB.

The UAB Observatory for Equality is carrying out a campaign promoted by the General Secretary and the Vice-rectorate for Communication and Culture of the UAB. This campaign is part of the informative and preventive measures that are being carried out in the framework of Chapter II of the Protocol to prevent and act against sexual and sex-based harassment, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and male chauvinist violence at the UAB. It is also part of the "IV Action Plan for gender equality at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. 2019-2023".

The aim of this campaign is to inform and make visible the resources available to the university to respond and act in the face of male violence. In the first phase, the printing of stickers with information about the protocol was commissioned. These stickers were attached to the inside of all the toilet doors on campus. In the second phase, posters were placed in all the classrooms of the UAB as well as in some shared spaces.

The poster informs about the Protocol to prevent and act against sexual and sex-based harassment, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and male chauvinist violence and in which cases it can be activated, also about the entity of the UAB that advises and accompanies in cases of gender violence, the Observatory for Equality, and the free psychological support service that we offer through the Psychogender Unit.

In addition to disseminating these resources, the poster is also a means of awareness-raising and prevention that shows the university's commitment against this type of harassment and violence.

And you, have you seen the poster in your classrooms?
