Open days at the IBB
24/04/2019
On 9 May at 1 p.m. the Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedicine will open its doors and offer guided visits to the centre starting at 3 p.m. on 9 May and at 10 a.m. on 10 May. The guided visits to the centre have been structured argumentatively: in vitro research, in vivo research and in silico research. There will be visits to one of the laboratories in which in vitro research is conducted (in test tubes or cells), to one of the laboratories where in vivo research is conducted (animal experimentation), and one of the laboratories in which computers are used to model biological problems.
The goal of these open days is to share with society all of the work conducted by researchers at the IBB; explaining how the institute works to students interested in conducting experimental research at the IBB; and helping the UAB community to discover the institute, with the aim of inviting other researchers to learn more about it and establish collaborations and synergies with other areas. The organisation of these open days included the research directors of several groups, as well as senior and junior research members and the administrative and technical staff of the IBB.
