On December, 2 at 13:00h at Sala Teatre of the UAB the International Day of People with Disabilities was commemorated with an official ceremony.

The UN established the 3th of December as the International Day to claim, raise awareness and promote the inclusion and equality of people with disabilities in the development of society. For this reason, the UAB added to the commemoration of this day, and this year celebrated the II Institutional Day in the International Day of People with Disabilities.

The event was presented by Sara Moreno, the Vicerector of Students and Occupability Committee and Maria Prats, director of the Observatory for Equality at UAB.

The ceremony included the presentation of the APNEU group (Assistance to people with specific needs at university) and a get-together with the members of the same group. This was moderated by Carles Llorens, Vice-dean of Communication at the Faculty of Communication Studies. Next, we proceeded to the awarding of Becas Impulso. The scholarships were presented by Tania Nadal, Vicepresident of the Board of Trustees at UAB and Jordi Prat, Director of the Fundació Autònoma Solidària.
