Tandem activities

The Tàndem programme offers the opportunity to practice different languages and get to know other cultures and ways of doing things. It is a useful way to practice languages and, at the same time, it gives you the opportunity to help other people practice the language you want to improve or learn, and you can also meet students from other countries and faculties. 

The Tàndem adapts to the current situation and for some time we will continue with the online sessions but we will also do face-to-face activities, so that you can maintain the link with your peers, and you can continue to get to know other languages and cultures in the way that is most convenient for you.

► Tàndem on-line, for all those people who want to continue practising languages and be in contact with other UAB students but don't want to or can't participate in the face-to-face activities, we will continue with the online Tandem with different language group meetings. 

The online tandem will take place on Tuesday from 12 pm to 1 pm.

In order to participate you have to fill in this form, which opens on Thursday and closes on Monday. On Tuesday we will send you the link to the virtual classroom where your language group will be.

The Tàndem activity will start on Wednesday 9th February 2022, as an activity of the International Welcome Days.

► The Tàndem on-site will take place on Wednesday from 3pm to 4 pm. 
Different language groups will be organised and will be fixed for one month in order to create a bubble group. You have to register indicating in which month you want to participate (March, April or May) and during that month you have to participate every Wednesday. The groups will also be of 2 languages, so that the groups will be mixed with local and international students.

The face-to-face groups will start on Wednesday 2nd March.
